At our One-Day Marine Animal workshops, you'll learn an overview of the biology of marine wildlife, common causes of injury and best-practice animal handling. You'll also gain the accreditations necessary to help out with marine rescue and rehabilitation work!

This course is essential for volunteers who want to help out at strandings and other marine rescue situations. Please register your interest to be first to hear about our next 1 day training workshop. The workshops start at 8.30am and finish at 4:00pm. Coffee, tea, morning tea and lunch are included in the workshop fee which is only $95.00 per participant.

The training workshops will take place on site at Dolphin Marine Conservation Park Coffs Harbour. The MINIMUM age is 15 years old for ALL Participants. 15-17 year-olds must have written parental permission.

Each workshop includes:

  1. General biology of marine wildlife
  2. Common causes of injury and disease in marine wildlife
  3. Animal handling
  4. Rescue and first aid for marine wildlife

Successful participants will be added to our register and called out to help with marine wildlife events as needed. Workshop places are limited and fill up fast so please register your interest now and be first in for the next dates.
